The Export functionality is used to extract the data out of the system and work on it offline. The exported data is available in MS Excel and CSV format.
To export the data from an entire report, open the report and click the Export icon.
On the next screen, you must pick one of these two formats:
Export to Excel |
Export to CSV |
Exporting to Excel
Select Excel option from the Export File Format drop-down.
You can export either the data in flat grid or export it with formatting.
Flat Grid: By exporting to flat grid, all the data will be available in Excel as flat rows without any merging of data. Also, any data present in columns (cross-tab) will be moved to rows.
Export with Formatting: When you export through this option the data will be available in Excel, in the form of pivot table.
Note: You can clear the check box to remove the report title and filter information from the exported file.
Click Done.
Exporting to CSV
Select CSV option from the Export File Format drop-down. You can select the delimiter from the drop-down list.
Note: You can clear the check box to remove the report title and filter information from the exported file.
Click Done.
The next screen that pops up will be the Export Log, where you can download your exported file.
The export may take some time so we recommend that you close the Export Log and check your email.
CalUsource sends an email with a direct link to the export file for automatic download (if successful) or an export failure notification.
