Creating detailed reports in the Insights & Visions module is accomplished with Filters. To create detailed reports for specific criteria (i.e. supplier name, year, value), use the yellow FILTERS bar at the top of the report.
Activate the Filters
Pick a measure or attribute from the Drag & Drop sidebar and drag it into the drop zone.
Once you have activated the filter, there are two ways to refine your data:
Selections and Conditions
Selections are choices that you make from values already entered into CalUsource.
Examples: Supplier Names, Campus Names
Conditions are a usually a range of values, or a set of criteria, instead of one single value.
Examples: Greater/Less Than, Percentages, Time Between Specific Dates
Filtering Using Selections
In this example, we will search for specific suppliers.
Enter part or all of your supplier's name and the search will automatically begin.
You can pick as many suppliers as needed, or you can just pick one. When your selection is complete, click APPLY.
Filtering Using Conditions
The conditions for filtering vary based upon the nature of the reporting object.
In this example, the filter is Fiscal Year. The only conditions that appear are time-based.
In this example, the filter is SPEND%. The only conditions that appear are numerical.
